While we are all still socially distancing and following guidelines closely, members of our team of local volunteers have been keeping fit by walking up to the school and helping out with a few jobs in some of the new garden areas we are developing. At the weekends and on warm evenings, it makes a nice change from being shut indoors to spend a little time enjoying the distanced company of a few fellow volunteers, working on a range of new garden areas in the school grounds.
With some careful planning, we have been able to ensure that all necessary precautions are in place to keep everyone safe, whilst still being productive and having some social contact. Our thanks to Sallie for helping with the new WW2 garden.
Sallie's dog, Russell, came to lend a hand too!
It is great to see our garden plans gradually developing. Take a look at our projects to find ways that you can get involved, whilst keeping safe, including helping with tasks that you can do at home.
